Handwashing with soap (CTPS) is one of the clean and healthy lifestyle behaviors that plays an important role in preventing infectious diseases among school-aged children. The implementation of CTPS behavior in schools is influenced by several factors, one of which is the availability of supporting facilities such as water, soap, and handwashing stations. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the availability of CTPS facilities and students’ CTPS habits at MTs Muhammadiyah Selayar. This research used a quantitative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all students of MTs Muhammadiyah Selayar totaling 47 students, and all were selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and observation sheets, then analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed that the availability of CTPS facilities was categorized as sufficient, while students’ CTPS habits were also categorized as moderate and not consistently practiced. Statistical analysis indicated that there was no significant relationship between the availability of CTPS facilities and students’ CTPS habits (p = 0.117), although a weak positive correlation was found (r = 0.232). The study concludes that the availability of CTPS facilities serves as a supporting factor but is not the primary determinant in shaping students’ CTPS behavior. Therefore, comprehensive efforts such as habituation programs, health education, and supervision from schools and teachers are needed to improve sustainable handwashing behavior among students.
