Abstrak

Violence in higher education environments remains a significant issue that can negatively affect the safety, well-being, and academic activities of students and other members of the academic community. One of the main challenges in handling violence cases is the lack of an integrated reporting mechanism that ensures accessibility, confidentiality, and effective case management. This study aims to develop a web-based Violence Reporting Information System for the Task Force for Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (Satgas PPKPT) at Institut Teknologi Sains dan Bisnis Muhammadiyah Selayar. The system is intended to facilitate case reporting, data management, monitoring, and information dissemination related to violence prevention and handling. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and literature reviews. The system was developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. Functional testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to evaluate system performance.

The results indicate that the developed system successfully supports key functionalities, including online reporting, case management, information publication, activity documentation, and administrative monitoring. Testing results showed that all major system functions operated successfully, achieving a functional success rate of 100% based on predefined testing scenarios. The implementation of the system improves reporting efficiency, data organization, and monitoring processes while supporting a safer and more responsive academic environment. Future development may focus on mobile integration, real-time notifications, and enhanced data security mechanisms.
